Kubernetes Volumes are resources that provide ephemeral or persistent storage to your pods. A single volume represents a single logical storage entity, such as a directory, block, object, or file storage device. Volumes are generall bound to the lifecycle of the pod and are created, updated, and deleted automatically, respective to the pod’s lifecycle. In this case, the volume is provisioned automatically using the Dynamic Provisioning feature. Alternatively they are managed manually, the so-called static provisioning.
